Denman is one of the least-known of the northern Gulf Islands, and for this reason has not yet been subject to overdevelopment. With a population of around one thousand, the island is roughly twelve miles long and two to three miles wide. About thirty miles of public roads, mostly paved, allow you to reach the various pebbly beaches for which we have not yet become famous. Denman has most amenities: two grocery stores, a couple of restaurants, liquor outlet (7 days a week), video rentals, ATM, gas station, post office, propane sales, and a number of craft stores. Many of our local artisans have studios open to the public.
